Days 2 – 16 (except Sundays): Organize Your Environment Organizing your environment helps clear your mind, helps you focus, and reduces your stress – essentially putting you in the right frame of mind to go after your goals. You will organize your environment – from your entryways to kitchens, primary living spaces, bedrooms and home offices in just minutes a day. Every day you will not only get rid of clutter but you’ll also be putting in place systems that will make it MUCH easier to keep it at bay over the long haul.
Sundays: Conduct Your Weekly Strategy Session Every Sunday in the challenge is a “strategy session” for the week ahead. It’s a time management work session that helps you figure out which to-do’s are really important (not just at work, but for ALL areas of your life), schedule them in — and identify potential chaos-vortexes and brainstorm in advance ways around them. The purpose of doing this every Sunday is to ensure you cement in this new habit and continue to do it once the boot camp is over.
Days 17 – 21: Tame Your Calendar These tasks are devoted to proactively organizing your calendar for the entire year – so scheduling appointments for well visits, important birthdays, vacations, etc. You will also be getting a head start on errands that cause stress when you leave them to the last minute, like buying birthday greeting cards and gifts.
Days 22-24: Zap Your Dinnertime Chaos In three days you will an entire month’s worth of dinner menus, including shopping lists. Figuring out what’s for dinner is one of the most universally stressful tasks. It’s relentless too – you have to figure it out every. single. day. Doing this planning sets you up for a much less stressful month ahead and gives you more time and energy to devote to pursuing your bigger goals.
Days 25-30: Hardwire Your Goals to Your Calendar We only get to this AFTER a base level of organization is achieved. Why? Because you are now structured to succeed. Our goal setting program is not just about setting goals (that’s only on day 25), but about hard-wiring those goals to your to-do list. 98% of people fail to ever take that last step, which is why most New Year’s resolutions are abandoned after only a few weeks. It’s hard work – but with our tools and three work sessions devoted to the task, your 2013 will finally be different.
